Sexual and Reproductive Justice Leadership in Public Health
Catalog Description
This course explores the intersection of leadership, public health, and social justice through the lens of Sexual and Reproductive Justice (SRJ). Students will examine historical and contemporary SRJ movements, leadership theories, and policy frameworks that shape sexual and reproductive health equity. Emphasizing systems thinking, ethical leadership, and community-driven advocacy, the course will provide students with the tools to analyze structural inequities and develop transformative leadership strategies. Through case studies, interactive discussions, and applied projects, students will cultivate skills in policy analysis, crisis response, advocacy planning, and coalition-building. The course will also address the impact of intersectionality, environmental justice, and systemic oppression on SRJ issues, preparing students to navigate complex challenges in public health settings.
