Reproductive Justice: An Introduction
Catalog Description
This course is an interdisciplinary exploration of reproductive health, rights, and justice, grounded in historical, social, and policy contexts. Students will examine the evolution of reproductive justice as a movement, analyzing key frameworks, leaders, and contemporary challenges. Throughout the semester, they will critically engage with major sexual and reproductive health issues, policies, and programs, applying ethical, human rights, and social justice perspectives. Topics include reproductive coercion, abortion access, maternal health disparities, global and domestic policy responses, and the intersection of economic, racial, and gender inequalities in shaping reproductive outcomes.
