Catalog Description
In this course, students will develop an understanding of historical and contemporary health issues facing sexual and gender minorities (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, etc.). Topics include factors that contribute to adverse health outcomes and promote positive health outcomes in LGBTQ populations, related to mental health, HIV/STIs, substance use, certain types of cancer, and victimization.
